The Children's Environmental Health Network is a national multi-disciplinary organization whose mission is to protect the developing child from environmental health hazards and promote a healthier environment.

Environmental Working Group (EWG) California Office

The Environmental Working Group uses cutting-edge communications technology to inform the public and shape policy about toxic chemicals in air, water and food, as well as political and corporate irresponsibility. Through reports, articles, technical assistance and the development of computer databases and Internet resources, EWG's staff of researchers, computer experts and writers produce hundreds of reports each year, drawing on original EWG analyses of government and other data. EWG is based in Washington, D.C., with a West Coast office in Oakland.

The Environmental Forum of Marin

Dedicated to protecting and enhancing the environment by educating its members and the Marin citizenry on environmental issues. In furtherance of this goal, it conducts annual training programs on environmental matters, provides continuing education for its members and the public, and supports citizen action to influence public policy.

California Native Plant Society (CNPS)

The California Native Plant Society, working through its local chapters, seeks to increase understanding of California's native flora and to preserve this resource for future generations. Membership includes amateurs and professionals, with diverse interests including natural history, botany, ecology, conservation, photography, drawing, hiking, and gardening. Cypress Mandela, Inc.

The Oakland Green Jobs Corps is a job training program providing “green pathways out of poverty” for young adults in Oakland facing barriers to employment. The program provides job-readiness training, ongoing support services, and on-the-job training, enabling trainees to pursue careers in green industries. The training sessions are 16 weeks long and cover a range of topics from solar to green building.
