Instructions

Broken ceramics are landfill items. Place in gray landfill cart.

Alternatives

Consider making a mosaic or some art object, or decorate your garden; ceramics have a lifespan exceeding plastics.

Facts

Pilot studies in ceramic waste reuse, focused on industrial applications such as paving substrate, brickmaking, and concrete production, show promising results when reused ceramics are combined with virgin material stock to create partially remanufactured construction materials. At present, however, these are experimental rather than commercial applications.
