Cardboard Tubes

Toilet paper tubes and paper towel tubes can be flattened and placed in the paper recycling cart.


Use reusable dish towels instead of paper towels. Cardboard tubes can be used for fun art and construction projects. Some places like the East Bay Center for Creative Reuse may take large amounts of these materials.


Over 17 billion toilet paper tubes are thrown away each year. That’s enough to fill the Empire State Building. Twice.
