Instructions

CDs & DVDs are not accepted in your curbside recycling cart, and they are NO LONGER accepted as a drop-off item at the Berkeley Recycling Center (1231 2nd Street). Potential locations for drop-off might be found at Re:Source, https://resource.stopwaste.org/ a service of StopWaste.

Alternatives

Take advantage of modern music apps, music streaming, or only purchase secondhand DVDs and CDs.

Facts

Charity thrifts sometimes accept commercially made CD/DVDs in their cases. Music stores may only accept music genres with or w/o their case. Call first. Non-commercial CD/DVDs should go to recyclers. Consider donating to a child or an education center that is looking for art project materials.
