Plastic Coffee Cup Lids
Instructions
Quickly rinse (or wipe out liquids or food residue into compost) before putting in the blue recycling cart. If the lid says "compostable," please put it in the green waste cart. BPI certified "compostable" plastics are acceptable in both residential and commercial compost program. Plastic lids (for single-use cups) should be clean. If the packaging says “biodegradable” or “biobased” it should be landfilled (gray cart). Biodegradable and biobased materials are not compatible with the composting process.
