Plastic Toys

Updated on November 27, 2018

Plastic toys can go in the blue recycling cart if they don't contain mixed materials, electronics, metal, or batteries.

If the toy is in good shape, donate instead. Prioritize quality over quantity, consider wooden toys instead of plastic, and buy second-hand instead of new.

Plastic toys can be coated with or contain chemicals that can leach into your child's mouth or onto their skin. Contact the manufacturer for details and do not purchase if you are not sure.
