Instructions

Glass from tables, windows, vehicles, and other non-food container origins should be placed in the black cart (landfill). For safety, broken glass should be placed inside a paper bag or other container and labeled as “broken glass”.

Alternatives

Consider making a mosaic; glass has a lifespan exceeding plastics.

Facts

Most non-bottling glass is made at high heat, or further laminated or layered in the case of plate and safety glass. This makes it incompatible with the various color grades of glass used for nonheated beverage and food storage, which are recyclable.
