Empty bottles before placing in blue recycling cart. Try to keep the caps and lids attached to the container. Broken glass can be recycled as well.
Alternatives
Try to reuse the bottle as long as is possible and hygienic before disposal.
Facts
Glass can be continuously recycled, as there is little loss of quality or purity in the process. Glass dishes, light bulbs, windows, or glass bakeware melt at a different temperature than bottles, and must be separated into landfill.
