Clamshell container should be clean. Quickly rinse or wipe out food into landfill before putting in the blue recycling cart. Do not put them in the green compost bin even if they say "compostable" or "biodegradable."
Alternatives
Opt for a reusable container instead. In general, try to take less food to go by eating at the establishment or preparing more meals at home.
