Audubon Canyon Ranch

Alameda County Office of Education

The Alameda County Office of Education promotes student achievement and development through leadership, innovation, and accountability in partnership with the public, educational community, and parents. The ACOE serves as liaison between the California Department of Education and the eighteen Alameda County public school districts. The ACOE also services three community college districts with a total enrollment of approximately 55,000 students. They provide services through four main divisions: Educational Services; Student Programs and Services; Program Development; and Business Services.

Alameda County Department of Environmental Health

Serves Alameda County residents and businesses by implementing environmental health laws. Programs include: State-certified Analytical Services, Food and Consumer Protection, Hazardous Materials, Household Hazardous Waste (see separate record), Housing and Institutions, Liquid Waste, Occupational Health, Recreational Health, Solid and Medical Waste, Vector Control, and Water Quality. Can make online payments and the web site offers a bevy of information about Alameda County services. Not a drop site for medical waste.
