Instructions
Empty and place in gray landfill cart. Includes Tetra Pak and other shelf-stable packages (meaning packages that do not need to be refrigerated until opened).
Alternatives
Find alternative brands that offer you food items you like, but in recyclable packaging. For example, buy juices in reusable glass bottles, or buy concentrated broth in a glass jar. Tell your grocer that you like the product, but hate the packaging, and ask them for alternative packaging (e.g. glass or cardboard). They listen to consumers.
Facts
Aseptic cartons are made of a nonrecyclable mix of paper, plastic, and aluminum.
