Instructions
All plastic gardening pots and flats can be reused, many times, before disposal. One gallon and larger nursery pots, and square nursery flats can be rinsed off and may be returnable at many local, nursery businesses. Small pots and flimsy plastic pots, six-packs or flimsy nursery trays can be placed in the grey cart (landfill).
Alternatives
Plastic pots that are 1 gallon or larger, and square flats, may be accepted by local nurseries for reuse. Smaller pots or flimsy, flexible plastic pots, and flats have no reuse except in your own gardening practices. These small pots and flats may be placed in the landfill (grey) cart.
Facts
Local nurseries include Berkeley Horticulture, East Bay Nursery, the Dry Garden, and others.
