Instructions
Only incandescent and halogen light bulbs can go in the landfill bin. Fluorescent bulbs are considered hazardous waste.
Alternatives
Install more energy-efficient lighting. LEDs are the most energy-efficient light bulbs, followed by CFLs (which are considered Household Hazardous Waste when burned-out).
